Despite what you've been told, long-term care insurance is not for everyone. But the need to have a plan for long-term care is critical. Unfortunately, the common myth that LTC Planning and LTC insurance are synonymous, combined with the aggressive sales practices of insurance agents, prevents millions of Americans from planning ahead for the financial and emotional costs of long-term care. The Smart LTC Planning process solves this problem: 1. Each of your options for paying for long-term care are carefully evaluated 2. Your unique personal objectives guide your decisions 3. Your LTC Plan is integrated with your financial and estate plan The Smart LTC Planning process views LTC Planning as an integral component of financial and estate planning. Embracing this viewpoint makes it apparent that the person to initiate your LTC Plan is not an insurance agent, but an Objective Financial Advisor. This book explains the differences between traditional financial advisors and Objective Financial Advisors, and explains how to find the right type of advisor for assuring your Smart LTC Plan gives you the results you want.
