About the Author I studied art at a community college in northern California, where I also enjoyed writing short stories. After receiving an AA degree with an art major, I traveled to Europe to paint and study languages, paying my own way. I learned the French language for a year at the University in Lyon, France and painted beautiful scenery and portraits in my free time. I worked at a restaurant on the French Riviera during the summer.After that, I moved to Freiburg, Germany and studied the German language at the university in Freiburg. After six months, I went back home and studied languages, including Russian, and majored in business at San Francisco State University. While at the University, I worked for a corporation inSwitzerland as an exchange student.I worked in the semiconductor industry for many years, then moved into the robotics field, where I sold robotics for manufacturing. During that time, I studied portrait painting from Daniel Greene.My family and I live in a wooded area in Colorado and enjoy the outdoors. My wife Barbie creates and sells her own beaded jewelry designs. My son Darren is twelve years old and enjoys camping and skiing. Darren and I also like riding bikes together and it is he who is pictured on the book cover. I currently work in the printer and imaging division of a major American corporation.Patrick James Henry
