The Auto Gypsies - 8829

$10.95

Fred Noegel, Jr., and William Purser were both born in 1925 and attended school together until their graduation in 1942. They have been close friends all these years, but until recently Mr. Purser did not know about the trip to California made by Fred's father, mother, and close friend, Miss Pansy Deese, in the early 1920's. When Mr. Purser was doing research in the past editions of The Cochran Journal for his autobiography, he found the articles about the trip that were published in the paper. There were thirty installments, and each one was a thrill to read. He contacted Fred and told him how enjoyable it had been to relive those experiences the three-some had encountered on their trip and suggested the two of them compile the letters and photos into a book. The two men thoroughly enjoyed putting together this memorable piece of history and hope that the story of this unique odyssey in a Model "T" Ford from Georgia to California back in the early days of the automobile will be a source of delight and inspiration for all, especially the younger generation.
