About this item

Review This is an educational DVD/Manual for serious students and teachers of the Pilates Method of exercise. It is NOT a DVD that you would wish to follow along with as you exercise, and should not be used as such. It is a wonderful resource for people interested in learning more about Pilates, and especially about the historical teaching lineage handed down from Joseph Pilates to two of his favorite students, Kathy Grant and Carola Trier, who in turn became Mater Teachers of Pilates' work. Jillian Hessel studied with both women back in the early 1980's in New York City, and has been teaching Pilates herself for 35 years. If you would like to become a part of the living legacy handed down from teacher to student since Pilates first began teaching, then this multi media DVD/Teacher's Manual is for you! --Jillian Hessel Product Description This DVD was recorded at a live Workshop for Pilates Teachers, offered in San Francisco in 1999. In Learning From Two Masters, Jillian Hessel conveys the teaching philosophies and hands on teaching style she learned from her two mentors, Kathleen Stanford Grant, and Carola Trier--two of Joseph Pilates most revered students. This DVD comes with an online link to the Downloadable Instructor's Manual, so that you may view and/or print it out yourself.
