Games of Deception - 1068

$11.46

It seemed the dream job. Gabe Stewart and his wife June had moved to Wilson Springs, a small community on the eastern farmlands of Colorado. Gabe had a stellar college basketball career leading to his hiring as the head coach at Wilson High School where championship banners hung from the gym rafters. It would be the perfect spot to coach and raise a family avoiding the big city chaos, and crime rates. That was not to be. Wilson Springs was on the verge of becoming a hub for an international conspiracy no one saw coming. Why would a ruthless South American cartel pick such an out of the way place to invade and corrupt? Why would two of Gabe’s star players drop out of sight? Murder enters the picture disrupting the serene nature of a small town not prepared for such violence. Gabe, his friend and police chief Hal Watkins, and FBI Agent Bo Fredericks follow a thread of weird twists and turns in an attempt to head off the devastation planned by Alfonso Torres, the war lord from Argentina. The maneuvers of deception played out in both the courtroom and on the basketball court are imposing and unique. In the courtroom, it’s a last minute cloak-and-dagger manipulation in an attempt to expose the violence and inhumanity of the cartel. On the basketball court, deception is smoke and mirrors causing chaos and disruption with a last ditch attempt to bury your opponent.
