Set Contains: There's a lot to like in the two-disc DVD edition of Get Shorty. Overall the 10 special features are pretty generous, going in-depth into the production with extensive interviews with the cast, producers, and director. Writer Elmore Leonard gets ample screen time to talk about his book the film was based on. An episode of From Page to Screen, a show originally broadcast on the Bravo Channel, delves even deeper into Leonard and his book. The featurette "Look at Me" offers over 25 minutes of interviews with Leonard, director Barry Sonnenfeld, and the cast. "Wiseguys and Dolls" takes a behind-the-scenes look at the movie, giving the viewer a good sense of the approach to the production. Film buffs will really appreciate the focus on director Sonnenfeld, which includes a moment right out of Filmmaking 101--a discussion on the relative virtues of using dolly cams versus steady cams.
