Original Retail: $19.99 Record a Memory: School Years is a recordable book that enables children to create a personalized, one-of-a-kind keepsake of their school years, from preschool through eighth grade. Children in their own voice capture special school moments in the unique book, from learning to read to singing a favorite song to sharing stories. The voice recording is permanent; it is not lost when the book s batteries are changed. Record a Memory: School Years is divided into 10 sections, one each for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, seventh grade, and eighth grade. Each section has a storage pocket to fill with class pictures, report cards, artwork, projects, and awards. The book also includes written prompts and fill-in-the-blanks such as height, teacher s name, friends, activities, and goals. Recording a voice is easy. Follow these directions: Choose the grade to record. Press the RECORD button and the GRADE button at the same time. Hold them down until you hear a beep, and then begin recording. When finished recording, press RECORD again. Press the GRADE button to hear the recording. Re-record until you are satisfied with the recording. Repeat the process for each grade. Set the locking switch to ensure that the recording won t be inadvertently erased. Please note that in order for the book to function properly it must be recorded on a flat surface and in a well-lit area, so that the holes located on the right side of the book have an unobstructed view of a light source. The same conditions are also required for proper playback.
