Using a scythe-like weapon, the intruder causes Mayuri to go mad and destroy his own lab equipment. Kenpachi rushes to the laboratory as the Seireitei becomes engulfed in a cloud of reishi. When Kenpachi arrives he is greeted by an even greater explosion of reishi that completely devastates the Seiretei. What awaits Ichigo in the devastated Seireitei, however, are Soul Reapers who seem to have lost all memory related to both him and Rukia.
