Bringing this contrast to a crescendo is Dog's quest to save the holidays by hunting a Christmas grinch and courting an elusive Cupid, who is wooed into turning herself in with a special valentine from Leland. No one is beyond Dog's grasp (and sympathy), it seems, as he tracks down his ex-housekeeper who fears that he may be ashamed of her thieving ways. The two share tears and hugs before Dog carts her off to prison.
