It may have been Daniel who made this observation, knowing the vagaries of the media, but he has rarely heeded his own advice. Daniel has always spoken of his love and affection for his mother and she has figured prominently in his career. Likewise Daniel has been outspoken about his faith and his beliefs - never to the point of trying to influence anyone else, but simply to say "this is who I am and this is what my faith does for me." He has recorded several albums of gospel or "inpsirational" music and without fail they have all found many fans.

"One of the most enjoyable experiences I had was recording this album 'Faith & Inspiration'. Listening to it today, I personally regard it as a masterpiece, even though they are not the type of songs I do career-wise. When I first got it and listened to it I thought that if I never did another thing recording-wise, I am happy to have done this. I love the sound of the orchestra, the choir, the softness, the feeling, everything about it. It is a great sense of personal satisfaction that I have been given the opportunity to record them. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do."
