About this item

So many people are intrigued by their dreams, and they ask questions such as “Why do I dream?” or “What does my dream mean?” In this book I share my experience of how I work with my nightly dreams. Step-by-step I explain my process and daily practice. My mentor is Dr. Stephen Aizenstat, from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and I have been in his training program, Dream Tending, for multiple years. What moves me with his style of working with dreams is that the person who dreamed the dream is the one that is best skilled to uncover the message of the dream. Built into the name itself, Dream Tending, is a gentleness and respect for the dream and the dreamer. Dreams are soul work and deliver messages of personal growth, community growth, and world growth. We are being asked to do more with a dream than just figure it out and move on—we are being asked to embody the dream; live the dream; hold the mystery of the dream. As we embrace dream work, we are launched onto a path of discovery where our lives will never be the same.
