About this item
Freddie the Frog and the Mysterious Wahooooo: 3rd Adventure: Tempo Island by music education author Sharon Burch is an interactive children’s music story with an included audio CD. Designed for ages 4-9, it introduces tempo, rhythm, and beat through an engaging adventure featuring Freddie the Frog and his best friend, Eli the Elephant.
Children can follow the story while playing rhythm instruments along with Freddie and Eli, helping them explore the difference between rhythm and beat through listening, movement, and creative participation. The combination of storytelling, music, and hands-on activities makes this resource useful for music classrooms, homeschool lessons, libraries, and family learning time.
The included audio CD contains a dramatized version of the story, sing-along songs, and jam tracks that invite children to create and perform their own rhythmic ideas. This third adventure in the Freddie the Frog series offers an entertaining way to explore tempo, maintain a steady beat, and experience the relationship between beat and rhythm. A coordinating Magnetic Rhythm Set is available separately as an optional extension of the activities.
By presenting musical concepts through memorable characters and interactive activities, the story encourages attentive listening, coordination, creativity, and collaborative music making. Educators, parents, and caregivers can use the audio for repeated listening, rhythm-instrument activities, shared reading, and group participation.
Whether used during music lessons, shared reading, group activities, or family music time, Freddie the Frog and the Mysterious Wahooooo: 3rd Adventure: Tempo Island provides an imaginative introduction to essential rhythm concepts through storytelling and interactive musical experiences.
