About the Artist
JD Martin is an award-winning songwriter of over 15 top ten hit singles. His songs have been recorded by such luminaries as Reba McEntire, the Oak Ridge Boys, Peter Cetera, and new country pop star Kellie Coffey. After 20 years of writing for other artists in Nashville and Los Angeles, he recently released his first solo CD, "One Heart," an inspired collection of original songs featuring his open soulful voice and tasty musical style, ranging somewhere between the best of Marc Cohen and Michael McDonald. JD is a true poet and heart-master who knows that the music IS the message. He and his wife & musical partner, Jan Garrett, live and create their music in the mountains of Colorado.
Jan Garrett is a professional musician & jazz singer, songwriter, performance coach, and parent of identical twin daughters. She has recorded and toured with John Denver, Steve Martin, and the Dirt Band, and has appeared on "The Tonight Show." She has produced two solo CDs of her original material, "Dont Go Back to Sleep," and "Gypsy Midwife, Songs for Soul Retrieval." A meditation student for nearly 30 years, Jan teaches Authentic Voice, piano-by-ear, and leads retreats on Intuitive Creativity and the Wild Woman Archetype. Her specialty is inspiring and encouraging people to discover and fully express who they really are........And have fun!
