His methods for teaching country dancing focus more on getting students to have fun and enjoy the dancing as opposed to trying to get them to do everything perfect. Jared loves to teach line dancing and swing dancing especially because they are great for people who have struggled to learn how to dance in the past. I learned country dancing at two universities, but before I learned dancing in a formal school setting, I started learning from a DVD! When I first tried to learn to dance, it was a struggle. The class size was enormous, and everyone else had dance experience so the instructor went too quickly for me. So I learned how to country dance from a DVD. I was able to go at my own pace, and I didn t have to learn in front of lots of people. An instructional country dance DVD was definitely the best way for me to get started. After I learned how to country dance, I expanded into other genres of dance. But when it came to teaching, I always opted to teach country western dancing because
