These two skills are my favorite skills to teach and utilize in game situations. I have always maintained that if you practice baserunning and bunting correctly, you can get 1-2 extra runs a game. Nothing is more satisfying for an 11 or 12 year old player as when he performs the delayed steal or bunts his way on and makes his way to third base with aggressive baserunning. With these two skills, youth coaches have an opportunity to take average skilled youth baseball players and have them stand out with the other teams. These skills must be practiced and the results will be very evident over the course of a youth baseball season. About the Actor Marty Schupak is a nationally known youth sports coach who began producing sports instrucitonal videos a few years ago. He is President of the Youth Sports Club and VideosForCoaches.com . His feeling is that many youth coaches run practices with too much standing around for the players and with too much down time. I got concerned about youth sports after observing my oldest son's youth baseball practice which consisted of two and half hours of batting practice and nothing else. Most of the players were just standing around swatting at flies and getting nothing out of the practice. I decided to produce youth sports instructional videos so the parent/coach as well as the school coach can watch the videos and not only use the drills provided but create their own drills. About the Director Marty Schupak received his bachelor's degree from Boston University and received his Master's degree in physical education from Arizona State University.
