They play dark and arty pop songs with hooks that will stay in your head forever.\nTim Fletcher (vocals, guitars), Dave Hamelin (drums, vocals), Greg Paquet (guitar) and Oliver Crowe (bass) have played together in various bands since the age of twelve. (But Dave and Oliver have been friends since they were four.) They are all in their early 20s now.\nTwo years ago Tim and Dave bought a 4-track machine from a desperate friend in need of some cash. They alternated weeks with the machine and began to write songs. A likeminded songwriting aesthetic ensued.\nThe Stills spent last summer in New York City staying with friends.
