They had strange haircuts, dressed in black, mocked the military and rocked harder than any of their mid-sixties counterparts while managing to basically invent krautrock, heavy metal, punk, industrial and techno music. 'You can hear their influence across decades', states Radiohead's Colin Greenwood. How much their music survived the passage of time can be heard on the soundtrack\/tribute double CD SILVER MONK TIME, featuring Jon Spencer, Fehlfarben, Goldenen Zitronen, International Noise Conspiracy, Alexander Hacke, Mouse on Mars, the Fall, Faust, Jason Forrest, F.S.K., Gudrun Gut, Alec Empire, Psychic TV3, Alan Vega, Chicks on Speed, and many others.\n\n'A loving and penetrating documentary film.'
