Friends and fellow tunesmiths, Jack Gladstone and Rob Quist join forces to commemorate the bicentennial of the Lewis & Clark Expedition of 1804-1806, creating their new show, Odyssey West. Five new original tunes written specifically for the production, and join old favorites on this music video, which is PC or Mac compatible. Gladstone's and Quist's Odyssey West is "retrospective edu-tainment at its best! Jack, a Native American from the Blackfeet Tribe of Montana, and Rob, a Montana rancher's son, take their audience on a powerful journey through the divergent paths traveled by the Indian and White man. Yet, the message is one of hope as the paths converge with a vision for all Americans.
About the Artist
Jack Gladstone, a member of the Blackfeet Tribe of Montana, attended the University of Washington on a football scholarship, earning both a degree in Speech Communications and a Rose Bowl ring with the 1978 champion Huskies. Since 1988, Jack has released 13 critically acclaimed, independently produced CD's. His 2003 release, "Tappin' The Earth's Backbone", is honored with a nomination for the 2004 Grammy Awards in the Contemporary Folk category. Rob Quist, known to many as Montana's Musical Ambassador, was founding member of the seminal group, "Mission Mountain Wood Band." Named by the Missoulian as "One of Montana's Notable Musicians of the Twentieth Century", Rob has released nine CD's placing songs on Billboard and Independent charts as well as receiving radio airplay worldwide. Rob's songs have been recorded by Michael Martin Murphey and Loretta Lynn, and he was recently inducted into the University of Montana School of Fine Arts Hall of Honors, recognizing him as "one of its' Greats".
