About the Actor
Molly Shannon has successfully become one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents on television and the silver screen. Shannon spent six seasons as a member of the repertory company on Saturday Night Live (1975), primarily known for the eclectic characters she created, such as "Mary Katherine Gallagher" and "Sally O'Malley". She has starred in numerous movies including How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, and Never Been Kissed. Shannon has won the National Board of Review award for her acting in Happiness, and the Online Film & Television Award for Saturday Night Live, plus been nominated for many other awards including two Primetime Emmys for her performances in Enlightened and Saturday Night Live.
About the Director
Chris Kelly is the writer and director of the upcoming film Other People, starring Jesse Plemons and Molly Shannon. Other People premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival in the opening slot, and Kelly was labeled one of the 13 Hot Directors to Watch at the festival. Kelly is also currently the Emmy-nominated co-head writer at Saturday Night Live and a Consulting Producer on Comedy Central's Broad City. Before that, he was a staff writer and director at Funny or Die and won a Peabody Award for his work as a writer/director at the Onion News Network.
