In 1977, Hanna-Barbera capitalized on the huge popularity of the 1976 Olympics and the TV series Battle of the Network Stars by creating a cartoon version of the Olympics. It featured Snagglepuss and Mildew Wolf as announcers and pitted cartoon teams called the Scooby Doobies, Yogi Yahooeys, and Really Rottens against one another in unconventional sporting events that took place around the globe.
