Review
"Blues from an immensely talented man, Forrest McDonald. The piano and guitar work are exceptionally good." -- Caroline Gonzalez
"Forrest brings on a varied and deep blend of swanky piano blues and guitar roots influences." -- Ed Ivey
"It grabbed my soul, Raymond Victor's piano playing is extraordinary, this CD is going to vibrate me for a long time, it pulled my ears to attention." -- Fear
"Raymond Victor not only contributes his deep, blusy voice to the music... he also lends his smokin' fingers on the piano. Forrest McDonald's guitar is not to be ignored. He plays the thing with such passion & love for the music, it translates over to the music. Playing it as it were on fire, he soothes over the most weary of souls & turns them into fans." -- Alex Steininger
Forrest McDonald plays exceptional lead guitar, is a principal songwriter and producer for the band. Other recordings by Forrest include I Need You, On Fire, Under The Gun. A native of Austin, Texas, now based in Atlanta, GA, Forrest has worked with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, backing such artists as Bob Seger, and Bobby Womack. His guitar work can be heard on the enduring hit, "Old Time Rock and Roll". Forrest has also performed, penned and recorded with Tony Carey (Rainbow, Planet P) and Steve Perry (Journey). Forrest and Steve's collaboration can be heard on Forrest's debut CD I Need You. Raymond sang the title track on I Need You, Forrest's WTR debut, which sold 12,000 copies. The follow up CD, entitled On Fire, a blues rocker, was released in 1997 under the band name of Forrest and can be heard on over 175 radio stations in the US. The third release, Under The Gun, enjoyed national chart success last fall.
Raymond Victor is the lead vocalist and keyboard player for Forrest. Raymond, also a principal contributor, has played with John Lee Hooker, Bobby Blue Bland, Mike Bloomfield, Elvin Bishop, and Charlie Musselwhite.
Chuck "CAP" Capdeville is a San Francisco Bay area favorite drummer. Cap is in constant demand on the West Coast, know, as Mr. Metronome, delivering a perfect steady beat time and time again. We're lucky to have him!
Diane Dutra has performed for many groups in the S.F. area, including Alvon and Marty Balin. Delivering punchy, tasteful lines on her 5 string bass, she adds the bottom that ignites this quartet.
Dave Parnell has played with David T Walker, The Coasters, and David McCracken. Dave brings a rich soulful tenor sound to the band that makes them a must-see act. -- From the Publisher
