About the Book
When young Mowgli loses his parents to the fierce tiger Shere Khan in the forests of India, he is adopted and raised by a pack of wolves. Under the protection of Mother Wolf Raksha and pack leader Akela, Mowgli learns the Law of the Jungle from his devoted friends—Baloo the wise bear and Bagheera the sleek black panther. As he grows, Mowgli faces thrilling adventures with the hypnotic python Kaa, the mischievous Bandar-log monkeys, and the mighty elephant Hathi, all while Shere Khan plots his destruction. Through these trials, Mowgli must ultimately choose between the jungle family that raised him and the human village where he truly belongs.
