About the Artist The members of the Vinyl Kings helped shape some of the greatest music in recent history as producers, writers, singers and musicians, then stepped out from behind the scenes to come together as one of the most exciting bands ever. Iindividually they've either produced, written songs for, sung or played on a great number of hits by artist such as Sting, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Shania Twain, Bob Seger, Vince Gill, John Fogerty, Mark Knopfler, Faith Hill, Tina Turner, Martina McBride, James Ingram, Leann Rimes, Michael McDonald, Trisha Yearwood, Rosanne Cash, Wynonna Judd, Brooks & Dunn, Alabama, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Kathy Mattea, Lyle Lovett and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. They also have toured with the likes of Neil Young, Shawn Colvin, Jimmy Buffet, Steve Winwood, Dan Fogelberg, Glenn Frey, J.D. Souther, Kim Carnes, Peter Frampton, Bobby Womack and Steve Earle. The Vinyl Kings started performing together as a musicial diversion to all the above. These seven musicians/songwriters/session players/producers needed an outlet. After years of individual success, it was agreed that it was time to band together and once again play music just for the "fun of it". In early 2001 the Vinyl Kings decided to try some thing new. To record a CD of original songs that would draw upon one of their greatest influences, The Beatles. One could say the their CD "A Little Trip" is a concept record. But the band would say that it is more of a homage to not only the Beatles, but to a time in musicial history that changed their lives forever. Now in 2005 the Vinyl Kings return with their next CD, "Time Machine".
