Then two monks were found dead, bearing the bite marks of a vampire. What's more, at each crime scene were macabre messages from Desmodo, a legendary vampire demon swearing to avenge the death of "his children." Has Desmodo struck again? As bizarre events unfold, Holmes also finds himself questioning what he holds most dear: logic. He may be a natural when it comes to solving crimes, but without divine intervention, how can he ever hope to solve one as unnatural as this?
